New York - Greenwich Village Food Tour

Sam and I celebrated our ONE Year Anniversary in New York City.

It was easily one of my favorite trips (and we’ve been on several), but one of our favorite parts was the delicious and incredible food tour of Greenwich Village.

We went on the 3-Hour Greenwich Village Walking and Food Tasting Tour and had a blast. It’s THIS one if you’re interested.

I wanted to share where we went and give you all my honest opinion on the food. This post is NOT sponsored.

STOP 1

Mamoun’s Falafel

Sam and I have both joked that they should have saved this spot for last because it was SO good. I really enjoy falafel while Sam had never had it (imagine that), but it was one of our favorite stops throughout the food tour. The falafel was crispy on the outside and the flavors on the inside were unreal I mean just look at it!

This is the original location which is TINY.

You can find out more here.

STOP 2

Artichoke Pizza

This pizza was so filling. I am on the fence about artichokes as I’ve had good and bad experiences with them but this pizza didn’t have huge chunks on it and the artichoke added a lot of flavor.

The cheese was super creamy and the crust was the perfect balance of chewy and soft. p.s. I feel like a real life food critic right now.

Artichoke Pizza actually has 11 restaurants with all of them being in New York, but one, which is in Miami. You can find out more here.

STOP 3

POMMES FRITES

I’m not a big fries person (is that thing), but what made these so tasty, apart from being baked twice, was the homemade sauces that accompanied them. Pommes Frites specializes in Belgian fries that are double cooked and they also have a variety of homemade sauces as I mentioned.. Just check out this list! So many delicious options and brilliant combinations.

In between Stop 3 and Stop 4 we took a stroll around the NYU Campus to walk off some of what we had eaten. I kid you not by stop 3 out of 7 I didn’t think I could eat anymore, but I did.

STOP 4

Hudson Bagel

After our little excursion on the NYU Campus I completely forgot to get any good pictures of this place OR the bagels so hopefully this screenshot from my Instagram story will do. Ha!

On the tour we were given the everything bagel which was delicious and still huge even with the smaller portion we received.

If you’ve heard about NY bagels being one of kind, it’s true. What makes them so special is that they broil the bagels before they bake them which makes them crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside and much more flavorful.

STOP 5

Bleecker Street Pizza

So um BEST pizza I have ever had. Holy cow. I can’t even explain how delicious this pizza was. It was the perfect balance of, well everything. Perfect amount of sauce, toppings, you get the point.

We had too much fun at this stop and I could’ve gone back for seconds… okay, thirds.

If you’re in NY this is a must.

After-all it has won best pizza in New York from the Food Network the last 3 years in a row.

You can find out more about them here.

STOP 6

Faicco’s

I absolutely love Italian food so just walking into this shop was a dream, but at this point on the food tour I was really feeling stuffed.

We were given their famous rice balls which were delicious but I could only handle about a bite of them. They were one of Sam’s favorites.

STOP 7

MollY’s Cupcakes

Last stop, sweetest stop!

These cupcakes were so delicious. The cake was super moist and the icing was perfectly creamy.

You were able to select from different cake and icing combinations.

I had a few bites of my cupcake before I could call it quits.

You can find out more here.

Overall,

We had an absolutely amazing time on our food tour of Greenwich Village.

If you’re considering a trip to NYC and looking for things to do I highly recommend the 3-Hour Greenwich Village Walking and Food Tasting Tour.
