Decorating An Apartment Space

I am sharing a little home tour of our space and how we made an apartment our home.

Let’s start with the gallery wall in our living room. Sam and I purchased all of the white and wooden frames from Target.

This area is right above our couch and we had so much wall space that we really needed to find a creative way to cover it or use some of it.

Tip: Create your own gallery wall if you have large wall space to cover.

My sweet friend gifted us this beautiful bar cart. It has become one of our favorite pieces of furniture and we love to decorate it throughout the seasons.

Tip: A bar cart is a great way to add some extra and creative ‘storage’ to an apartment. We use it to feature different plants, wines and frames.

During Christmas you will find our stocking and tiny Christmas on it!

This is our guest room and one of the most “put together” rooms in our home. Somehow this room ended up doubling as our travel posters and blue room.

With the space already being small and the dark navy bedding, this room could have easily been too monotone, but we brightened it up with a mix of light gray and white pillows along with an off-white throw.

Tip: If you have dark bedding or even a small brighten it up with light pillows and prints.

This is our bedroom and one of my favorite spaces in the house. This is the only room that has evolved a bit as we’ve lived here. We started out with white bedding, but after having a puppy for a few months we realized how impractical it was.

We kept this room pretty neutral with a very mild leopard print comforter, contrasted by a more obvious leopard print throw.

Tip: Don’t be afraid to mix harsh and more subtle patterns!
